The story of Lilly Pulitzer's ready-to-wear clothing brand began in the late 1950's, where Lilly opened a fresh juice stand in Florida from her husband's citrus groves. Recognizing that juicing ruined the employees; clothes, she created a uniform that concealed stains; a sleeveless shift dress created in cotton, detailed with bold coloured prints. The success of this dress encouraged Lilly to ditch the juice and focus on dressmaking, and the rest is history. Today, Lilly Pulitzer's collection of clothing includes a range of designs from jumpsuits to dresses detailed with bright hues and original prints.
